Working the Onions

Today, Kate and I cleaned and stored the onions we've grown this year.......OK, I have never claimed that this blog would be exciting every day.......after we'd cleaned 'em up, I stored them in the only cool, dark place in the house......under the stairs. We need to get a root cellar!

But the view as we did the chore was nice.

Speaking of excitement, several days we had a raccoon invasion. The little bandits pulled the screen off a window on the sun porch and pigged out on sunflower seed from a bin they opened. I borrowed a neighbor's trap and captured the ring-leader. He went for a long ride in the countryside before being released beside a likely-looking stream. I'm sure he's very happy now.
